Working from home, you know the struggle of either making your own hours or deciding when to take a break. If you haven't tried the Pomodoro technique, it's well-known (and for good reason). The pomodoro method is designed to retrain your brain to focus, boost productivity, and avoid burnout.
How to do it:
- Pick a single task.
- Set your devices on Do Not Disturb
- Set a 25 minute timer
- Work on your task until your timer is up. If you get distracted, reset the timer.
- Take a 5 minute break.
- For every four 25 minute focus periods, take a 15-30 minute break
